Scott Rouse

I’ve been a working studio and stage drummer for 30 years and a drum teacher for 14 years.

I got my first working gig as a drummer at age 15, which led to recording and playing clubs, theaters, festivals, and eventually touring the country. After years of learning on the job I began formal study with master teachers Aldo Mazza (Montréal, QC) and Pete Magadini (Novato, CA.). Through my work with KOSA Drum Camps, I have been lucky to also learn from some of the greatest drummers of our time.  

My career moved me from Tulsa to Denver, Dallas, Austin and San Francisco.  It was in SF where I started my drum lesson business and established my analog based recording studio, focusing on vintage equipment spanning 50 years of technology.  I released my first solo work in 2016 and in the summer of 2024 released my sixth full-length solo album, Everything At The Right Time. My latest album is the culmination of my drumming influences and experiences so far and a celebration of the joy and passion drumming continues to bring to my life.
